Overview

 

The Regional Director, Corporate Development will serve as a critical member of the company’s leadership team and will report to the Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Development Officer. This role will assist in evaluating, pursuing, and implementing new business opportunities. Specific responsibilities for this individual will include:

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and execute on new clinical practice investment opportunities from origination to integration – including practice acquisitions, de-novo builds, and ASCs.
  • Support corporate development process from initial target outreach through close, including due diligence, legal, and post close integration.
  • Build local pipeline of partner cardiology practices and support build out of Novocardia’s high quality network in Northeast Florida.
  • Oversee development and execution of growth initiatives consistent with Novocardia’s overall strategy, especially relating to practice expansion and optimization – including new practice site openings, ASC development and local partnerships with referral partners and health systems.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations and Clinical teams to ensure alignment and coordination of local development initiatives.
  • Conduct local market research and build relationships with providers to inform market knowledge and growth strategy.
  • Develop presentations, documents, talking points, and communications for various occasions, including conferences, board meetings and sales pitches.
  • Generate novel and valuable ideas with respect to new or improved processes, assumptions, methods, or goals that support Novocardia’s organizational goals in light of internal and external trends.
  • Develop team talent by providing guidance and feedback to help strengthen knowledge/skills needed to accomplish tasks and perform effectively. Invests time and resources into building the capabilities of team members,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in corporate development, physician practice growth and/or operations, healthcare M&A / joint ventures or management consulting experience.
  • Highly proficient with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong interest in health care delivery and reimbursement models, with a strong preference for familiarity with value-based care reimbursement models.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge preferred.
